DLA Piper has advised Worldline on the deal.
Worldline, a French group and European leader in the payment and transactional services sector, announced the acquisition of the card-acquiring activity of the Swedish group Handelsbanken in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
In Scandinavia, the activity represents more than 550 million transactions per year, a payment volume of approximately 20 billion euros, an annual turnover of approximately 35 million euros and an EBITDA percentage of over 30%.
The transaction is expected to result in additional annual revenue of approximately 35 million euros ($41 million) and double-digit organic growth over the next four years.
