Wix.com’s $36 Million Acquisition of DeviantArt

Naschitz Brandes Amir represented Wix.com (NASDAQ: WIX), a leading global cloud-based web development platform, in its $36 million acquisition of U.S.-based DeviantArt, one of the world’s largest online communities dedicated to artists, art enthusiasts and designers. The acquisition was completed in February 2017. This acquisition follows Wix’s recent acquisition of Flok (Loyalblocks) in January 2017 in which Naschitz Brandes Amir also acted as Wix’s counsel.

Wix.com Ltd. develops and markets an Internet service that allows users to create Web content. It offers Web development, design, and management solutions and apps through an online platform that enables its user base of businesses, organizations, professionals, and individuals to create a digital presence. The company, led by Avishai Abrahami, Nir Zohar, Giora Kaplan, Menashe Lior Shemesh, Omer Shai, is based in Tel Aviv.
