Orrick’s advised Westbrook Partners on the long-term ground lease with George Washington University and related mortgage and mezzanine financing from Brookfield, to revamp 2000 Penn, a 404,000 square-foot mixed-use complex that includes office-and-retail space on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C.
Westbrook, along with its joint venture partner D.C.-based MRP Realty, plan to reposition the 10-story building by bringing in new several new retail tenants as well as a coworking provider that will have event space and add new amenities other tenants can also access.
