Herbst Kinsky advised AMANIKI GmbH, as underwriter. Müller partner advised Hofer. Wolf Theiss advised Walter Schisernig.
The Salzburg real estate investor Walter Schisernig took over the former Hofer logistics center in Loosdorf together with an international group of investors. The freight forwarder Quehenberger Logistics from Straßwalchen will use it as a transshipment point for consumer goods in Austria and Eastern Europe.
With the 180,000 square meter property on the A1 and a 50,000 square meter warehouse area, Quehenberger intends to further expand its contract logistics activities in Austria. One fifth of the warehouse space is designed for refrigeration logistics. A washing and tank facility as well as a workshop also belong to the location. 200 to 300 new jobs are to be created in the course of this transaction.
Amaniki, founded in 2019 and based in Frankfurt, was used as a W&I insurer in the large-volume real estate transaction. According to experts, W&I insurance is still rare in Austria, especially for real estate transactions.
