VelaLabs’ Acquisition of LABH

DLA Piper advised VelaLabs on the entire acquisition process from the preparation of the transaction documents to the registration of the change of ownership.

Pharmaceutical laboratory VelaLabs Austria, a subsidiary of the Tentamus Group, executed the acquisition of the Vienna based “Laboratorium für Betriebshygiene GmbH” (LABH).

As part of the transaction VelaLabs acquired all shares in LABH.

Tentamus Group operates globally offering a variety of services in physical chemistry, instrumental analysis, micro and molecular biology for a number of industry sectors. It has over 60 laboratories and employs more than 2,500 people worldwide.

The pharmaceutical laboratory LABH was founded in 2003. It provides microbiological services such as sterility tests, microbiological methods and specific environmental controls such as germ identification.

The DLA Piper team advising on the deal was led by Jasna Zwitter-Tehovnik (Picture) and supported by associate Kevin Luiki.
