Tullet Prebon finalized the £1.1 billion acquisition of the global hybrid voice broking and information business of ICAP, including in the transaction brokerage platforms iSwap and Fusion.

Tullet Prebon (LSE:TLPR) agreed to sell off Icap’s oil trading desk in order to win approval for the takeover, which will leave it as one of the biggest voice brokers in the world and enable Icap to focus on post-trade services. After the deal is done, ICAP (LSE:IAP) will call itself NEX Group. Its shareholders will be handed 19.9% of the enlarged Tullett Prebon.
