True Wind Capital’s Investment in W Energy Software

Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe advised True Wind Capital on the deal.

True Wind Capital announced its investment in W Energy Software, a provider of cloud-based accounting and ERP software for energy companies. In addition, M33 Growth, along with the W Energy’s founders and other shareholders, are rolling a meaningful portion of their investment into this transaction. The investment will be used to accelerate W Energy’s expansion into new markets and position it to capitalize on energy transition.

True Wind Capital is a San Francisco-based private equity firm focused on investing in leading technology companies. True Wind has a broad investing mandate, with deep industry expertise across software, data analytics, tech-enabled services, internet, financial technology and hardware.
