Texas Instruments’ $900 Million Acquisition of Micron Technology’s Lehi, UT Fab

Micron Technology, Inc., a major global supplier of advanced semiconductor systems, completed the pending sale of its Lehi, UT fab, a semiconductor factory, to Texas Instruments, Inc. for $900 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close during calendar year 2021, subject to customary closing conditions.

Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) is an American technology company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, that designs and manufactures semiconductors and various integrated circuits, which it sells to electronics designers and manufacturers globally.

Micron Technology, Inc. is an American producer of computer memory and computer data storage including dynamic random-access memory, flash memory, and USB flash drives. It is headquartered in Boise, Idaho.
