Telus International’s Acqusiition Of Competence Call Center Group

Gleiss Lutz has advised the founder and co-owner of the Competence Call Center Group on the sale of CCC to Telus International. Shearman & Sterling advised communications and information technology company Telus. Bär & Karrer, Latham & Watkins LLP, Milbank and TY advised Ardian.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Closing of the transaction is still subject to the usual regulatory approvals.

CCC, a portfolio company of private investment house Ardian, is one of the largest European providers for the outsourcing of business processes; with 8,500 staff across 18 locations and eight countries, it provides customer care and business process outsourcing services (BPO). CCC numbers among its customers leading, fast-growing companies from the B2C and social media sectors as well as large telecommunications providers and travel companies.

Independent investment company Ardian currently manages assets to a value of some 65 billion US dollars for its investors in Europe, North America and Asia. Approximately 470 staff across 12 offices worldwide offer the 610 investors a large range of alternative investment classes.

TELUS International, a subsidiary of Canadian telecommunications company TELUS, which is listed in New York and Toronto, is a world leader in communications and IT.

Latham & Watkins LLP acts as lead legal advisor in this transaction for Ardian with a team included Burc Hesse and Dr. Sebastian Pauls.

Milbank also advised Ardian on the deal with Dr. Michael Bernhardt, and EY advised on tax matters with Niclas Hahn.
