Hill Dickinson advised Tactus Group Limited on the deal.
Tactus Group Limited acquired PC gaming specialist CCL Computers Limited, in a deal that sees the group become a £125 million turnover business.
The deal has been funded by an £11.25 million private equity investment, with lead investor Arete Capital Partners investing £10 million.
The acquisition of CCL will allow Tactus to broaden its service offering to include ecommerce capability and will also increase the Group’s employee headcount to 110.
Based in Warrington, Tactus is a technology and branding specialist providing IT hardware to global retailers and the public sector. It has trading relationships with corporate technology businesses such as Microsoft and Intel. Its product portfolio includes IT hardware, smart home technology and tech wearable apparel, which it retails through partnerships with ecommerce and high street retailers worldwide.
The Hill Dickinson team led by corporate partner Matt Noon (Picture) with assistance from corporate senior associates Elan Iorwerth and Katy Oakes, corporate associate Ben Correia de Sousa and senior associate Emma Collins, in the firm’s Commercial, TMT and IP team, provided legal advice to Tactus on the acquisition of CCL.
