Swyft’s $17.5 Million Series A Financing

Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP advised Swyft on the financing.

On April 7, 2021, Swyft, a Toronto-based rapid logistics company, announced it had completed a US$17.5 million Series A financing co-led by Inovia and Forerunner Ventures, with participation from Shopify. Proceeds from the financing will be put towards further expansion into Canada and the United States.

Swyft is a marketplace, connecting a network of shipping carriers with vendors. But the company also provides software to those carriers to make them more efficient, and turns them into a vast network that allows them to pick up more inventory without adding to their infrastructure.

The Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt team consisted of Chad Bayne (Picture), Justin Dharamdial, Jeremy Lin, Theresa Donkor and Shalu Atwal (Emerging and High Growth Companies).
