Swiss Life’s €600 Million Green Bonds Offering

Walder Wyss acted as legal counsel to Swiss Life on this transaction. Homburger advised the Joint-Lead Managers.

Swiss Life successfully placed a EUR 600 million senior green bond on 8 September 2021, with maturity in 2031 and a 0.5% coupon. The bond was placed with investors in the European market.

The proceeds will be used in line with Swiss Life’s Green Bond Framework 2021, which is focused on real estate, including future refinancings of outstanding senior green bonds. The bond is guaranteed by Swiss Life Holding Ltd.

J.P. Morgan, UBS Investment Bank, BofA Securities, Citigroup and Deutsche Bank acted as Joint-Lead Managers. J.P. Morgan also acted as Green Structuring Agent to the issuer.

Swiss Life Holding AG is a financial services company. The Company provides life and property insurance, institutional investment management, and private banking services.
