Sun Capital Partners announced its sale of Ames Taping Tools, the nation’s foremost provider of automatic taping and finishing tools and related products to the professional drywall finishing industry.  

Founded in 1939 and headquartered in Suwanee, GA, Ames Taping Tools invented automatic taping and finishing tool technology and has continued to improve speed and productivity. With a network of over 100 stores and franchise locations throughout the United States and Canada, Ames Taping Tools supports residential and commercial interior finishing contractors with a large tool rental operation.
