Sumeru Equity Partners’ Investment in GoGuardian

Cooley advised GoGuardian on the closing of its recent strategic investment from Sumeru Equity Partners, a growth-focused tech investment firm.

The investment is expected to accelerate the company’s growth and product innovation. Along with the funding, GoGuardian has appointed Tony Miller, an accomplished technology executive and former deputy secretary of the US Department of Education, to its board.

GoGuardian has changed the way K-12 schools maximize the learning potential of every student. Its SaaS products help educators identify learning patterns, protect students from harmful and distracting content and support students who are at risk of self-harm.

Cooley advised with a team including Dave Young (Picture), Laura Medina, Josh DuClos, Danielle Warner, Mark Cikowski, Cristina Carapezza, Mark Windfeld-Hansen, Chris Mayer-Dempsey, Barbara Mirza, Ross Eberly and Bryan Berman.
