Stripe’s $245 million Series E financing round


Orrick has advised online payments company Stripe on its $245 million Series E financing round.

This investment brings Stripe’s valuation to $20 billion. The company has raised $685 million to date.

Led by Tiger Global Management, other new investors included DST Global and Sequoia, along with existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins, Khosla Ventures, General Catalyst and Thrive Capital.

Stripe, Inc. develops application programming interfaces (APIs) and tools that enable businesses to accept and manage online payments. The company, led by Patrick Collison, is based in San Francisco, California with operations in Dublin, Ireland.

The Orrick team on the financing was led by John Bautista (Picture) and included Pete Lamb, John Harrison, Nancy Chen, Josh Pollick, Karen Dempsey, Steve Malvey, Diana Gillis, Scott Porter, Mike Yang, Chris Reynolds, Julia Ledbetter and Bella Gelin.
