DLA Piper has advised La Société d’Aménagement Zenata (SAZ), the entity in charge of the overall development of the Zenata Eco-City in Morocco, on the signature of a cooperation agreement with the Saudi German Hospital Group to develop a healthcare centre.
Zenata is the biggest Eco-City project in Morocco and the first to have obtained the Eco City Label (ECL) from Cerway, the international HQETM certification body. The healthcare centre will be operated in synergy with the other high value-added services of the eco-city, namely the education centre, the retail park and the logistics hub.
Developed and operated by the SGH Group, the 10 hectare centre is the first integrated healthcare project in Morocco. It will be comprised of a hospital with 300 beds, and six specialty block units with a complementary service offering including a medical university, a paramedical training centre, a housing project for medical personnel and students, a medical tower for private medical practices and a hotel & leisure offering including a hotel and hotel-apartments.
DLA Piper advised SAZ with Christophe Bachelet (Picture) and Sarah Peuch.
