Snap Inc.’s $500 Million Acquisition of WaveOptics

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and RPC advised WaveOptics on the deal.

Snap Inc. announced that it will acquire WaveOptics Ltd, a British augmented reality (AR) technology company, for over $500 million. Snap is based in Santa Monica, California, while WaveOptics is headquartered in Oxford, England.

Snap Inc. provides technology and social media services. The Company develops mobile camera application products and services that allow users to send and receive photos, drawings, text and videos.
