Haynes and Boone Wins Dismissal for Tianyi Wei: the Sister of Financier Benjamin Wey

The Securities and Exchange Commission on March 8, 2018 voluntarily dismissed its civil fraud suit against Tianyi Wei, a client of the firm and the sister of high-profile private equity executive and financier, Benjamin Wey.

Mr. Wey was indicted and sued by the SEC in 2015 for alleged securities fraud and related charges. His sister was named as a defendant in the SEC’s civil suit.

Mr. Benjamin Wey is Founder, President, and Member of the Executive Committee at New York Global Group, Inc.
