San Carlos de Maipo Foundation’s Social Impact Bond


Carey, Larraín y Asociados, Fontaine y Cía and FyC Abogados advised on the transaction

San Carlos de Maipo Foundation executed a Social Impact Bond contract in order to finance empowerment of literacy in vulnerable schools in Santiago.

Fundación Viento Sur, Inversiones Marchigue, Inversiones San Ignacio and Larraín Vial subscribed the contract.

Fundación Colunga is a no profit organization engaged in promoting a more just society, through partnerships with various actors: civil society organizations, the private world, the public and academia.

With special attention to children and adolescents, Colunga promotes social innovations aimed at generating a systemic change in critical areas such as overcoming poverty, protecting the rights of children and youth, improving the quality of education and promotion of new forms of inclusion (migration and social reintegration, for example). In this way, it develops innovative proposals that contribute to public advocacy and facilitate social transformation.
