Samsung’s Agreement to modify software configuration to avoid anti-competitive practices in Chile

Samsung has agreed to modify the software configuration for its smartphone in Chile as a consequece of the investigation of Fiscalía Nacional Económica in Chile for adleged anti-competitive practices.

The investigation started in 2015 after a complaint from WOM S.A. complaint.

Trunking operator WOM S.A., formerly Nextel Chile, present in the country since 2000, offers fully integrated wireless communications that include digital cellular voice, data and wireless internet access. The company, offers mobile services through 2G, 3G and 4G technology in the country’s main cities.
