Cassa Risparmio di Asti S.p.A. acted as lender on a senior secured financing to an Italian securitization vehicle collateralized by an unlikely-to-pay mortgage loan portfolio provided by Rubattino 87 S.r.l., an Italian real estate company.
The transaction represents one of the first cases on the Italian market of direct lending to an Italian securitization vehicle pursuant to the Italian securitization law that was recently amended.
