Regional Hospital in Tapachula’s $80.2 Million Public Private Partnership


Garrigues and Santamarina y Steta advised on the transaction

Located in the municipality of Tapachula, in the state of Chiapas, the new facilities will have a total of 180 beds and 31 consulting rooms. The total project investment is estimated at P1.36 billion (US$80.2 million), of which the federal government will invest P563 million in 2016 and P794 million in 2017.

Banobras – Banco Nacional de Obras y Servicios Públicos, S.N.C. – has granted the financing for the project.

Garrigues advised the sponsor Hospital Tapachula, S.A.P.I. de C.V. – operating as a subsidiary of Promotora y Desarrolladora Mexicana S.A. de C.V. (Prodemex) – with a team including David Jiménez (Picture), Daniel González and Paulina Bracamontes.
