Queen’s Gambit Growth Capital’s IPO

Vinson & Elkins LLP and Walkers’ Cayman advised Queen’s Gambit Growth Capital on the deal.

Queen’s Gambit Growth Capital announced its initial public offering of 34,500,000 units at a price of $10.00 per unit, including 4,500,000 units issued pursuant to the underwriters’ full exercise of its option to purchase additional units.

The offering closed on January 22, 2021.

Queen’s Gambit Growth Capital is a female-led special purpose acquisition company, formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, share purchase, reorganization or similar business combination.

The V&E corporate team was led by partners Brenda Lenahan  (Picture) and Ramey Layne, with assistance from senior associate Stancell Haigwood and associates Ximena Kuri, Matt Hortenstine and Carmen Guidry.
