Qatar Investment Authority’s $200 Million Investment in Airtel Africa

White & Case LLP has advised the Qatar Investment Authority on the deal

Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), the sovereign wealth fund of the State of Qatar, executed a $200 million investment in Airtel Africa through a primary equity issuance in the company.

The proceeds will be used to further reduce Airtel Africa’s existing net debt. Airtel Africa Ltd is a pan-African telecommunications company with operations in 14 countries across Africa.
