PostFinance AG’s Acquisition of SIX Paynet AG’s B2B And B2C E-Invoicing Business

Schellenberg Wittmer advised SIX Paynet AG, while Walder Wyss advised PostFinance AG.

SIX Paynet AG, the main industry player in the Swiss e-invoicing market, announced the sale of its B2B and B2C E-Invoicing Business to PostFinance AG.

The eBill infrastructure was not part of the transaction and will be continued to be operated and further developed by SIX Group. The transaction was structured as a bulk asset transfer pursuant to the Swiss Merger Act, which was completed on 1 April 2021.

SIX Paynet offers with eBill and other cross-sector solutions a comprehensive service portfolio pertaining to electronic billing. eBill is dedicated to bill recipients in e-banking and m-banking, thereby rounding off the service and product portfolio of our shareholders, the banks. SIX Paynet also offers other market participants sector-independent solutions for the seamless dispatch and receipt of electronic bills in the most secure way possible: through SIX Paynet.

PostFinance provides financial services. The Company offers financial management including investments, personal financing, retirement planning, and other advisory services. PostFinance offers services in Switzerland.
