Poke House Italia’s Merger With Poke House Portugal

Caiado Guerreiro advised Poke House on the deal.

Poke House Italia executed the merger with the Portuguese chain with the same name, Poke House Portugal, founded in late 2017 by Duarte Costa and Francisco Guedes.

Poke House Portugal will receive a part of the five million euro investment raised by the chain with the same name in the Italian market. The merger between the two companies gave rise to the fifth “Poke” restaurant (a Hawaiian dish with a Californian soul) in the Lisbon district, at the Colombo Shopping Centre.

The Poke House chain has opened four restaurants in Portugal in three years (Chiado, Strada Outlet, Atrium Saldanha and CascaiShopping) and has the medium and long-term goal of opening 12 shops in Lisbon and three in Porto. Following the merger with Poke House Italy, the chain will carry out a rebranding process in Portugal and create 180 new jobs next year.
