PM Capital Asian Opportunities Fund’s Merger with PM Capital Global Opportunities Fund

Baker McKenzie advised PM Capital Asian Opportunities Fund on the deal.

PM Capital Asian Opportunities Fund (PAF) announced its entering into a Scheme Implementation Deed (SID) to merge with PM Capital Global Opportunities Fund Limited (PGF). Under the SID, PGF will acquire all of PAF’s shares which it does not already own by way of a recommended Scheme of Arrangement.The merged entity will have a portfolio pre-tax net asset value of AUD712 million. 

PAF’s Principal Activity is the investing in a portfolio of listed securities from Asian equity markets or companies whose business is conducted in this region and providing long-term capital growth. 

PGF’s Principal Activity is the invest in portfolio of listed securities across global securities markets (including Australia).
