Maddocks has advised construction company PCL Constructors Pacific Rim Pty Ltd on its successful bid to build and maintain two new Australian solar farm projects.
PCL secured the contracts to be the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance provider (O&M) for the Woolooga and West Wyalong solar farms. The Woolooga project, situated in Queensland, will have a capacity of 214 MWdc, while the West Wyalong project, in New South Wales, will have a capacity of 107MWdc. Both projects are sponsored by Lightsource bp Australia.
West Wyalong and Woolooga projects contribute to Lightsource bp’s pipeline of more than 1.5GWdc – making Lightsource bp one of the largest solar developers to own and operate in Australia once its sites are operational.
The Maddocks team was led by special counsel Sefton Warner (Picture), with support from partners Andrew Pitney and Andrew Chapman, senior associate Michael Copeland and lawyer Victoria Mellor.
