Partners Group’s £208m acquisition of Key Retirement Group from Phoenix PE

Addleshaw Goddard has advised Phoenix Private Equity on the sale of Key Retirement Group, a leading independent provider of specialist financial products for retirees, to funds managed and/or advised by Partners Group, the global private markets investment manager.

The £208m buyout which represents a 4.5x return for Phoenix, also delivered an exit for the founders of the business and a transition to the management team who formed part of the succession plan.

The deal will enable Preston-based, Key Retirement to accelerate its strategic growth plans.
