Paranapanema’s $616 Million Debt Restructuring

Brazilian copper producer Paranapanema finalized a definitive debt restructuring and for fresh capital injection, which includes the entrance of a new international shareholder.

The company, led by Marcos Paletta Camara, Andre Luis Da Costa Gaia, and Paulo Rodrigo Chung is based in Santo Andre (BR).

The banks involved in the debt restructuring are Banco do Brasil S.A. BNP Paribas, Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior S.A., Banco Bradesco S.A., Caixa Econômica Federal, Cargill, China Construction Bank, ING Bank, Itaú Unibanco S.A., Scotiabank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.

BMA – Barbosa, Müssnich, Aragão advised Paranapanema S.A. with Camila Goldberg (Picture), Felipe Prado, Henrique Pimenta, Paula Astolphi, Gabriela Rubio and Luiza Tranchesi.

Machado, Meyer, Sendacz, Opice advised the banks with José Prado, Bruno Racy, Luis Filipe Gentil Pedro, Maria Paula Toledo Pinto and Roberto Bonometti.
