Linklaters advised Panattoni Europe, a market leader in industrial real estate in Europe, on the construction of the largest parcel distribution centre for the courier company GLS Poland.
It is the developer’s first project for this company. The 7,000-square-metre facility was built in Janki near Warsaw and will handle on average 80,000 parcels a day and employ approx. 150 people.
The project is a BTO (build-to-own) and BTS (build-to-suit) facility – it was designed to be owned by GLS Poland and fitted to their requirements. As a result, the courier company will have exactly the amount of space it needs and the facility will be arranged to be used as efficiently as possible.
The legal advisor for Panattoni Europe was Marta Bijak-Haiduk, Managing Associate in the Warsaw Real Estate practice.
