Overseas Private Investment Corporation’s $175 Million Financing Microfinance Institutions

Mayer Brown represented the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, a US government agency, as the lead investor in a $175 million collateralized loan obligation securitization by responsAbility Financial Inclusion Investments 2019 DAC, a designated activity company incorporated in Ireland.

The emerging markets institutional lenders have 5.6 million borrowers, 81 percent of whom are women, according to a statement from Zurich-based responsAbility Investments AG, which will be managing the Irish issuer’s portfolio.
