Pinheiro Guimarães advised IDB, and TozziniFreire Advogados advised OMNI on the deal.
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) extended a US$100 credit line to Brazilian loan provider Omni.
Omni provides credit through its partnership with fintech group Avant, targeting mainly self-employed drivers buying used lorries but also supporting microfinance activities for individual entrepreneurs.
IDB expects that the credit facility will help reduce the financial inclusion gap in Brazil and provide access to credit for refugees, immigrants and individuals earning less than USD1,500 a month, specially in the credit-scarce northeast region of Brazil.
Pinheiro Guimarães advised IDB with a team led by partners Bruno Lardosa (Picture) and Marcela Taquette Vaz, along with associate Pedro Mourão Votre.
TozziniFreire Advogados advised Omni with a team led by partners Alexei Bonamin and Francisco Eumene Machado de Oliveira Neto.
