Oldenburgische Landesbank’ public takeover offer of Bremer Kreditbank


SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz has advised Oldenburgische Landesbank on the public takeover offer of Bremer Kreditbank.

In June 2017, Bremer Kreditbank entered into an agreement with Allianz regarding the acquisition of ca. 90.2 % of the shares in Oldenburgische Landesbank for a purchase price of ca. €300 Million.

The remaining shares in Oldenburgische Landesbank are publicly listed and in free float. Bremer Kreditbank offered the minority shareholders of Oldenburgische Landesbank to acquire their shares by way of a voluntary public takeover offer.

Bremer Kreditbank AG provides various banking products and services for corporate and private customers in Germany and Europe. The bank, led by Axel Bartsch, Marko Richling, Gerd Sewerin, Pieter W. Ruhaak and Dominique Bastian, is based in Bremen.

Oldenburgische Landesbank AG provides various banking products and services to corporate and retail customers in Germany. The bank, led by Patrick Tessmann, Hilger Koenig, Thomas Bretzger and Karin Katerbau, is based in Oldenburg.
