Baker McKenzie advised Office National de l’Électricité et de l’Eau potable du Maroc (ONEE) in the financing of the wind farm in Taza.
This operation is part of the first phase of the wind farm project in Taza and will enable the production of 87MW in electricity. The wind farm will be operated by a group comprising EDF Renouvelables for the Middle East and Africa and the Japanese company Mitsui & Co. This project is part of the energy strategy of Morocco, which aims to be producing 52% of its installed electric power using renewable energies by 2030.
