Ashurst has advised Nomura on the deal.
Nomura, the Japan-based global investment bank, entered into a strategic alliance with Jarden, the New Zealand-based investment and advisory firm, in Australia and New Zealand.
The parties will cooperate and collaborate in relation to opportunities and transactions in Australia and New Zealand. Jarden will provide access to expertise and origination capabilities and Nomura will provide its global network, product capabilities and a strong balance sheet to support clients across equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and acquisition and leverage finance.
The alliance will enable greater global reach, product expertise and capital commitment for clients of Nomura and Jarden.
The Ashurst team was led by Rob Hanley (Picture), who was assisted by senior associate Sumit Ram and graduate Yang Shu (corporate transactions), partner Melissa Fraser and senior associate Candice Upfold and lawyer Jessica Apel (competition), and partner Jonny Gordon (financial regulatory).
