Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft, Deutsche Bank AG and WMF Group GmbH’s sale of their interest in BHS Tabletop AG


Gleiss Lutz and P+P have advised on the deal

Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft, Deutsche Bank AG and WMF Group GmbH have sold their shareholdings in the publicly listed company, BHS Tabletop AG (BHS), to Serafin Unternehmensgruppe in Munich.

Serafin is a Munich-based diversified group of companies whose philosophy derives from more than 150 years of entrepreneurial tradition of the owner family. Serafin acquires corporate spin-offs and medium-sized companies. With more than 2,900 employees and group companies located in Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, Serafin currently generates an annual turnover of approx. EUR 500 million.

BHS tabletop AG is a manufacture of porcelain, especially for the hotel and catering industry, listed in the Regulated Market segment in Frankfurt, Berlin, Dusseldorf and Munich as well as in the over-the-counter market in Stuttgart. The company manufactures solely in Germany with locations in Selb, Schönwald (Oberfranken) and Weiden in der Oberpfalz. BHS tabletop AG combines the three porcelain brands Bauscher, Tafelstern professional porcelain and Schönwald.
