Molinos Rio De La Plata, the leading Argentine food firm, executed the acquisition of the La Saltena pasta and dough brand from General Mills.

La Saltena offers fresh pasta as well as pastry for traditional Latin American pies. It operates a production plant in Burzaco, near Buenos Aires, and employs more than 500 staff.

Molinos Rio de la Plata S.A., together with its subsidiaries, operates in the food sector in Argentina and internationally. The company operates through Branded Products and Commodities Business segments.
