Osborne Clarke has advised Miniclip on the deal.
Miniclip, a leading developer and publisher of mobile games, acquired the independent games developer Gamebasics.
Miniclip is a global leader in digital games. The company develops, publishes and distributes highly engaging games to an audience of over 250 million monthly active users, across mobile, web and social platforms. Founded in 2001, Miniclip has been a leader in online games and reaches people across the world in the pursuit of “unleashing the gamer in everyone”. In the past years, Miniclip have added the teams from Playsport, Yakuto, Masomo, Ilyon and Eight Pixels Square to the Miniclip group.
Founded in 2014, Gamebasics is an interactive entertainment company based in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, best known for its game Online Soccer Manager, a title that serves three million users every month. Following the acquisition by Miniclip, Gamebasics will continue to develop the OSM franchise and work on new unannounced titles.
