Miba AG’s Acquisition of a Division of John Crane Group


Choate represented Miba AG in its acquisition of the Industrial Bearings division of John Crane Group, a subsidiary of Smiths Group plc.

On June, 1st, the four industrial bearings plants Miba acquired from the John Crane Group will become part of Miba Bearing Group. The four sites acquired have 300 employees, the annual revenue is about 50 million Euro. After the acquisition Miba Group will have a total of 7,400 employees working at 27 production sites worldwide.

Miba Aktiengesellschaft operates as a holding company. The Company, through its subsidiaries, manufactures sintered components, engine bearings, friction materials, power electronics components, and coatings, as well as provides engine reconditioning services. MIBA serves clients Globally.
