Pinto Ribeiro Advogados advised Menin Douro Estates in the transaction.
Menin Douro Estates, a Portuguese company owned by Brazilian investors, that is dedicated to viticulture and the production and marketing of wine, executed the acquisition of the assets of Sociedade Casa Agrícola Horta Osório.
This acquisition consolidates Menin Douro Estates’ presence in the Portuguese wine market, namely in the Douro Wine Region, after the acquisition of Quinta da Costa de Cima and Quinta do Sol in 2018. The Douro region has Portugal’s highest wine classification as a Denominação de Origem Controlada (DOC). It is one of the oldest wine-producing regions in the world.
