Mars Petcare’s Investment in Vetsource

Simpson Thacher represented Mars in the transaction.

Mars, Incorporated executed its investment in Vetsource, which will result in Mars Petcare becoming Vetsource’s lead investor. Vetsource will continue to operate with the current management team and investors representing a cross section of the pet care industry. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Mars Petcare is part of Mars, Incorporated, a global, family-owned business. Mars Petcare provides science-backed pet food, care and treats and is also a leading veterinary health provider with an international network of over 2,500 pet hospitals. Vetsource is a pet health company that provides innovative pharmacy, technology and business services to more than 9,000 veterinary practices in the United States.
