Addleshaw Goddard has advised Manchester Science Partnerships (MSP) on its alliance agreement with Cisco Communications in relation to the formation of the Manchester Inspired – Innovation, Digital Enterprise Alliance (Mi-iDEA) innovation Centre.
The Mi-iDEA Innovation Centre, aims to support SMEs based in the region who work in the smart cities, Internet of Things (IoT), digital healthcare and digital creative sectors, create innovative technologies and solutions. The centre also offers tailored programmes to post-accelerator and more established companies enabling them to further develop their capabilities.
Mi-iDEA will be located in MSP’s Bright Building, a 70,000 sq ft building which is expected to be one of the most technologically advanced buildings in Manchester and the UK when it’s opened in spring this year. Mi-iDEA will also be used as a second site for Cisco CREATE – a collaborative research function aimed at finding innovative, technology-based solutions to some of the most pressing issues of today, as well as strengthening Cisco’s National Virtual Incubator network.
