DLA Piper represented LOGISTEC Corporation (TSX: LGT.A and LGT.B) in its strategic acquisition of Gulf Stream Marine.
This transaction will allow LOGISTEC to establish a stronghold in the Gulf region, strengthen its position in a high-growth market in the United States, provide access to an experienced talent pool, facilitate knowledge transfer between the two organizations and generate immediate positive benefits to shareholders.
This acquisition also represents a major expansion of LOGISTEC’s network of terminals in the United States. With Gulf Stream Marine’s ten terminals in five ports, Logistec’s cargo handling activities now cover 58 terminals in 35 ports in North America.
Logistec Corporation is a stevedoring and terminal operator in eastern Canada. The Company, led by Madeleine M Paquin, Mario Blanchet and Suzanne Paquin, operates ports in eastern Canada and the United States. In 2017 Logistec Corporation recorded C$343 Million Revenues.
