Burges Salmon has acted alongside Mazars for NC Technology & Consultancy Limited on the deal.
NC Technology & Consultancy Limited sold its two subsidiaries, LexAble Limited and LexAble Services Limited, to Norwegian company Lingit.
Founded in 2007 by Neil Cottrell, LexAble has grown to be a leading provider of specialist education software with a focus on dyslexia and mental health, embracing neurodiversity. Its software supports schools, universities, blue-chip companies and charities globally.
The transaction will provide Lingit – an assistive software developer headquartered in Norway helping students with a range of learning difficulties – with access to LexAble’s unique auto-correction software and is set to drive the expansion of its customer base in the UK.
The Burges Salmon team advising on the transaction was led by Corporate partner Dominic Davis alongside senior associate Julie Book and solicitor Dan Wood.
