Liberation Group’s Purchase Of 21 Pubs From Wadworth

Macfarlanes has advised Liberation Group on the deal.

Liberation Group, a PE-backed pub, restaurant and drinks business and owner of the Butcombe Brewing Co, acquired 21 pubs from Wiltshire-based brewery Wadworth.

Liberation Group, which was bought by investment firm Caledonia in 2016, has made multiple acquisitions over recent years and now owns over 100 pubs across the Channel Islands and the UK, plus two breweries and three drinks distribution businesses. This latest acquisition forms part of its plans for continued growth in the south west of England.
