Klövern’s 5-Year Lease for A24 Film Studio

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman advised Klövern on the deal.

A joint venture of Klövern AB, a subsidiary of Corem Property Group of Sweden, and New York City-based GDS Development Management entered into a 15-year lease at 1245 Broadway with A24 Films LLC, an award-winning global film and television studio. A24 is building its new global headquarters in 41,000 square feet of office space over four floors and is expected to move-in during the second half of 2022. The building is nearing completion, with a projected opening earlier in 2022.

A24 is the Academy Award-winning film and TV studio behind feature films such as Lady Bird, Minari, Hereditary, The Farewell, Moonlight, Ex Machina, Amy, Room, The Witch and Uncut Gems. 1245 Broadway is a 23-story class-A office building at the corner of 31st and Broadway, in NoMAD, one of New York City’s most dynamic neighborhoods. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the building features architectural cast-in-place concrete, large triple-glazed windows, a private club, F&B catering to tenant floors and panoramic views of the city.
