KKR Asia Real Estate Partners SCSp’s $1.7 Billion Fundraising


Simpson Thacher represented KKR in the transaction.

KKR completed the formation of its first Asia real estate fund, KKR Asia Real Estate Partners SCSp (“AREP”), an approximately $1.7 billion fund.

AREP will invest in real estate assets and companies primarily with the intent to control or influence the real estate assets or companies in which it invests or, in the case of debt investments, control the debt class or influence a restructuring of such real estate assets or companies.
