Kimbell Royalty Partners’ $151.3 Million Mineral and Royalty Acquisition


Vinson & Elkins advised EnCap Investments L.P. on the deal

Vinson & Elkins advised EnCap Investments L.P. (EnCap) in the acquisition by Kimbell Royalty Partners of certain oil and gas royalty assets from EnCap for approximately $151.3 million in a 100% equity transaction.

Kimbell is a leading owner of oil and natural gas mineral and royalty interests across 28 states.

EnCap Investments L.P. is a venture capital and private equity firm specializing in seed, start-ups, emerging growth, special situations, and early venture investments. The firm, led by David B. Miller, Gary R. Petersen, Robert L. Zorich and Martin Phillips, is based in Houston.
