KC NWSL’s Negotiations for Property Lease

Stinson LLP advised KC NWSL on the deal.

Kansas City NWSL, the city’s women’s professional soccer team, announced the negotiation of a lease for property where the team will construct a new stadium. The proposed project is the first sports stadium developed primarily for the use of a women’s professional team.

The team signed a 30-year lease, with options that can extend the term to 50 years, for the 7-acres of land owned by Port KC. The 11,000-seat stadium will be located at east end of the Berkley Riverfront and is expected to open in time for the 2024 season.

Stinson attorneys involved in both matters include Dave Frantze (Picture), Rich Cook, Karl Phares and Chris Frantze.
